I am currently 3rd Year events student at Birmingham City University who has a great desire to work in events management.
 I am a highly motivated, adaptable individual with multiple transferable skills developed through events experience and television placements.  Prioritising working with people and constantly learning as well as being innovative and efficient is a strength of mine. I have a great passion for working amongst a team as well as having the confidence and self-belief to produce successful work individually. Voulantary events coordinator+Artist liasion [Present]

I am currently a voluntary events coordination to a London based vocalist. My responsibilities including organizing small or large events based upon the brief she provides me with. This role requires me to:

  •  Work closely with small companies

  •  Negotiate with venues

  •   Organize production schedules

 
Client liaison + Events coordinator Make a moment Events

14th Sept 18 - 2nd Jan 19

 

As events Coordinator, my role was to organize an event for teenage cancer trust and oversee the production process and during the event itself.

  • I was also client liaison, which therefore required me to have frequent communication with my client and ensure they were updated with the event I was planning.

  • I conducted multiple site visits prior to the event and leased with a variety of local businesses who could potentially help as stakeholders.

 

 

PA to events coordinator. Andy Hamilton centenary Event.

1st Jan 18 - 28th March 18

 

  • My role was to assist the coordinator by emailing various external stakeholders and attend vital meetings, to help the development of the event at the Birmingham town hall.

  • Contacting various radio stations including BBC to promote the event.

  • Working behind the scenes at the event to ensure that everything was running smoothly and exercising my customer service skills by ensuring all delegates were accommodated for. 

 

 

Events assistant. NEC Big Bang/Smooth Events

14th March- 17th March

 

 I was employed by smooth events agency, to represent shell at the Big bang fair in Birmingham which welcomes over 80,000 people over the four days.

  • Working individually and in a team demonstrating science experiments for school children and their teachers.

  • Crowd management and handling difficult customers with professionalism and empathy. 

  • Engaging with event attendees from all over the UK and kept the team morale high throughout the day.

 

Event Host. Great Gatsby Event 17th March
 
  • Working for an organization independently as a freelance presenter for a themed event in the heart of Birmingham city Centre

  •  Front of house duties, consisting of welcoming guests into the venue and, keeping the morale high.

 

Event organizer assistant. Prepared PR and events.
 
I had the opportunity to work at a luxurious event in Birmingham, I had various roles which consisted of.
 
  • working closely alongside the venue and the organizer of the event by ensuring everything was running smoothly and working towards the time schedule we produced.
  • Scanning and welcoming  VIP guests into the venue and keeping the morale high throughout the evening.

I had the task of building a small record company and producing a launch event for the brand. The event would be a networking experience for other businesses and stakeholders to see what we offered as a business
My responsibilities consisted of, sourcing a location for the event and overseeing a team of 9 people in executing an exciting and engaging event.
  • Sourcing a venue for the event and negotiating fees on behalf of the label with the venue.
  • Supervising on the night, by ensuring everything was running according to plan.
  • Leading a group of people and handling any issues or complaints within the group.

During my 3 year course, I have studied a wide spectrum of the media industry which includes, Television, Events, Journalism, Professional development, Editing and Television Researching. I will be graduating in the summer of 2019 with a BA Honors degree. 

 

 

Barr Beacon Sixth form

2013 -2015

 

 

I attended Barr beacon sixth form, where I studied Media and Television production and Business and marketing. During my time at sixth form, I conducted Documentaries and Short films. I also learnt about the Business industry and all the vital components which go into creating a business and the finer details i.e., stakeholders, profit and margin etc.
