Client liaison & events coordinator| Make a moment events

During this task, I worked closely alongside teenage cancer trust as a client.  I had an exceedingly important role in the planning stages and during the day of the event, as I was client liaison and events management.

The 8-week process highlighted the importance of my strong communicative and leadership skills. As events coordinator, I was responsible for sourcing an ideal location for our fitness event, which would meet the profile of the event attendees and meet the client brief.  Through my extensive research I managed to source a fitness centre within the heart of the Birmingham city centre and through my strong negotiating skills I managed to get it at a heavily discounted rate.

In the lead up to the event, the client’s demand remained my main focus and I ensured I met them. This exercised my customer service skills as I  always ensured my client was happy with the necessary decisions I made.
Due to organizing a brilliant event and having a maximum turn out I raised almost £1,000 for teenage cancer trust. This, therefore, shows that I am able to produce an exciting event which meets the client's aims and objectives.

Andy Hamilton centenary event| Symphony Hall

Having the opportunity to work closely with the events coordinator of the Andy Hamilton trust was my most memorable experience.

I worked alongside a large group of Birmingham musicians, to organize a large event at the symphony hall to commemorate the life of jazz musician Andy Hamilton, who sadly passed away. The event brought musicians from all over the United Kingdom, to showcase their talent.

Working on this event required me to oversee the pre-production planning process. I visited the venue prior to the event alongside the events management team, to explore potential risks and hazards and think of creative ways to maximise the attendee's experience. In the lead up to the event, I was heavily involved in the social media and promotion aspect by attending multiple media outlets around the region including the BBC to help raise awareness of the event.

During the event, I was involved with the timekeeping aspect of the show and looked after the musicians involved. I was also required to manage the backstage area, which enabled me to exercise my leadership skills.

Fletche production day. Artist liasion and Events coordinator

I am also an artist Liaison and events coordinator for a London based vocalist. This role requires me to organize small or large scale events. I work closely alongside creatives within the Birmingham region to help deliver engaging events and production days on behalf of my client based upon the brief she provides me with.

I recently organized a small production event on behalf of my client at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire and a photography studio in Birmingham. The main focus of this production event was to re-brand her as an artist.

I had multiple roles within this production which consisted of sourcing a location, photographer, videographer, musical equipment and sound engineer all under a restricted budget. I had the responsibility of organizing multiple site visits independently and with the client to ensure that it was suitable for the event I was organizing.

This task enabled me to exercise my organizational skills as I was required to produce a timeline, which kept the whole event running in a systematic order and ensured everything was completed within the limited time frame.
