In Summer 2017, I had the opportunity to work for a London based events company called smooth events.

Whilst working for smooth I had the opportunity to work at one of the Biggest UK gaming events entitled ‘ICE GAMING’ and Autodesk university conference. Working at these events taught me the significance of being able to adapt to various environments as in the events industry you are required to work at a variety of different events, with different clients from all over the world.

My responsibilities whilst working for the company, was to ensure that all attendees were fully briefed on where they had to go and provide them with a complimentary goody bag and information packs.  The attendees for these events paid over £800 per ticket, this therefore meant that we had to ensure our customer care was at a very high standard.

 

With London being on high alert over the summer, the safety of the guests was paramount. As staff it was our duty to ensure that we remained aware of our surroundings and any suspicious activity.  Working in London at large corporate events, therefore suggests that I am adaptable and able to work well under pressure.
